Natalie Portman chose this dress to wear on the red carpet at the Gotham Independent Film Awards back in November 2010, a week after the Lanvin for H&M collection launched in stores. The actress is known for favouring Lanvin when it comes to public appearances. The plain black heels are a safe but stylish compliment to the dress and the asymmetrical updo and small earrings work well with the neckline.
Kim Kardashian opted for the same dress last night when she visited the MTV studios in New York. Keeping the look casual, there's no jewellery or strong make-up to be seen. The dress might not be best suited for the pear shaped but the Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoos are the perfect match for this dress.
I was lucky to grab the pink version of the dress in H&M on launch day and cannot wait to wear it soon. I think I'll stick to wearing it with Louboutin Decollete pumps and will add some brooches to the elastic waist belt to accessorise.
