Don't Blend In On The Beach

When you think of DvF, your first association wouldn't be bikinis in rainbow colours. Diane is famously known for her iconic wrap dresses that women of all ages love to wear since 1972. She's most commonly called the designer who really knows a woman's body and how to enhance it. Isn't that really important when it comes to swimwear? The Diane von Furstenberg Resort and Spring/Summer 2010 collections answer any swimwear dilemma and with co-ordinating kaftans, playsuits and maxi dresses, your swimwear will be your swimwear will play a huge part in your summer/holiday wardrobe.

Double Take - Bow front Denim Dress

Denim is a major trend for this spring/summer season but can be tricky to wear as it means a little more than throwing your favourite pair of jeans on. A lightweight denim dress is effortless, comfy and the least cliché. Dress from the Mulberry RTW show £295 (left) and the high street version (right) from New Look £25.

What I would wear today - Apr 4

The sunshine makes me feel very summery even as I'm sitting inside in my hoodie. I love the busy pattern on this floral Matthew Williamson (£595) that requires very minimal accessories. The Yves Saint Laurent sandals (£735) are casual enough for day and the Miu Miu bag (£795) blends into the colour palette of the dress. Jewellery should also be kept simple, add a gold bangle and let the neck detail do all the talking. (All items available from Net-A-Porter.com.)
