Lanvin H&M Collection is Best Of Lanvin Runways

The Lanvin for H&M collection that's been described as the high street's chain's most successful designer collaboration with its luxurious designs that look like they've just walked off a Lanvin fashion show catwalk. Anyone who's ever dreamed of owning the iconic silk one shoulder dress or embellished t-shirt, heels or handbag raced to their nearest H&M this morning.

The pieces are unmistakeably Alber Elbaz's 'best hits' of past collections that have been tweaked to look current and instantly recognisable as his work. The preview of the pieces was published 2 weeks ago clearly shows that we can all add that much needed french elegance to our wardrobe, whatever our budget or lifestyle.

The Golden Dress

As a self confessed magazine addict I do tend to spot a number of small similarities between publications but this time you don't have to read them cover to cover to spot that gold sequin dress worn by Claudia Schiffer, Natalia Vodianova, Anne Hathaway, Anna Dello Russo to name but a few. The cover stars of magazines such as 10, Elle UK, Harpers Bazaar UK and various editions of Vogue were dressed in look no.22 of the Balmain Fall 2010 fashion show.

A gold sequin dress seems like an obvious choice for  December cover as it sums up the look of the season and it is to inspire us when it comes to dressing up this winter. Sequins can so easily go wrong and look tacky so it's best to follow Balmain's lead by showing just enough skin by covering the arms and going for a V-neck that's known to flatter all shapes. Before you dip into your savings and run out for this £20,000 gown it'd be wise to look around for alternatives like these for less than 100th of the price. The Balmain version is bound to be sold out as most of the dresses are in magazine offices around the world.

Work, web browsing, movies and blogging are a main part of our daily routine so why shouldn't we extend our accessorizing to our gadgets? We no longer have to stick with boring black and bulky synthetic cases instead why not go for fun prints, iconic designer monograms or  luxurious leathers that co-ordinate perfectly with our outfit?

The best bit: it can double as a chic oversized clutch on your laptop's day off and will cost you less than a handbag so it's definitely worth investing in.
